  1. 1.7 revision offers big improvemnts 4 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Jun 2016

Updated module 1.7 does offer huge fixes. Confirmed that pulling the address book from the cloud now works, also added wake and sleep functions. 1 issue I found is the in call status seems to work inconsistently.

  2. Basic works 2 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Jun 2016

it´s also impossible at a running call to answer one more incomming call.

you can´t see the communication between Crestron-Modul and Codec couse there ist no TCP/IP-Client in SIMPL

  3. Basic functions fine, not directory 1 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Apr 2015

The basic functions work but don't expect the directory to work and don't expect any help from Crestron with the module fixing the broken parts.

It's written in SIMPL# so unless you have a copy of Studio 2008 you're out of luck making any changes.

Of course, the solution is to use a real codec in the first place...

  4. Some parts good, some parts need work 2 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Apr 2015

Working with an economy class codec you have to have some expectations to begin with. That said, this module works better than expected. The mic mute function is broken, and due to the fact that it is 99% encapsulated in S+ with unexposed device TxRx comms, there is no advisable way to customize or inject your own commands, like every other VTC control module you have ever worked with.
It also clearly needs to have a 'WAKE" command implemented.

All in all, it is a clunky tool for a clunky device, but knowing that in advance makes it slightly more palatable.
